Whether through Facebook, Kik, Twitter DMs, or another platform — is seen as the next big way for brands to connect with customers in a more personal and presumably more efficient manner, especially for customer services. Facebook wants to be part of that, which makes sense given recent news that the company is panicking as people share fewer and fewer personal updates.
Some things are a no-brainer to take advantage of, like the cross-page video Insights and the Rights Manager that will help hunt down ripped videos that are taking away from your branding efforts. Others are more suspect, like Instant Articles, where the calculus is iffy and needs to be considered against the goals of the overall program.
