NEW YORK, February 21, 2013 – Global public relations leader Porter Novelli announced that Michael Ramah has been appointed chief client officer. He will work closely with senior leadership on both agency- and client-side teams to drive innovation, best practices and growth. Ramah’s appointment comes on the heels of his having spent the latter half of 2012 serving as acting CEO of the agency.
“Michael is without a doubt the perfect choice for this position,” said Karen van Bergen, CEO, Porter Novelli. “As the architect of our industry-leading strategic planning and research discipline, Michael can swiftly determine what clients need in order to ensure their business and communications objectives are in alignment and that they are positioned for solid growth.
“Perhaps most important, as a 25-year veteran of the agency, Michael has an intimate understanding of Porter Novelli – of our history, our mission, our culture and our expertise. In his new position he will bring all of that knowledge to bear as he works to build and strengthen client engagements across the agency,” van Bergen added.
Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Michael was manager of marketing services at Seven-Up International, with responsibility for worldwide implementation of non-advertising based brand support. Fluent in Spanish, he is a graduate of Williams College.
