Earlier this month, Merck’s Hora de Hablar CARDIO (HDHC) engaged with the U.S. Hispanic community by sponsoring the annual Feria de Salud (Health Fair) in the third- largest U.S. Hispanic market – Houston. HDHC, a educational program aimed at improving dialogue between U.S. Hispanics and health care professionals, collaborated with Feria de Salud, Houston’s leading outdoor community health fair, to promote a healthier lifestyle for U.S. Hispanics, participate in free health screenings, obtain information on improving their health and receive gifts. Participating in the community health fair raised program awareness within the U.S. Hispanic community and engaged the audience by driving traffic to the HDHC website.
The enthusiastic Houston locals where eager to visit by the HDHC booth to share their cardiovascular health testimonials, learn more about the personalized program tailored in their language and receive an on-site guided tour of the HDHC Spanish-language website. On the pursuit to improve and make a positive change in their health, Hispanic families applauded the campaign as a culturally relevant solution to develop a healthy life for the entire family.
