Richard Cline is the president of Voce Communications, a Porter Novelli Company, which he co-founded in 1999. Under his leadership, Voce has been a guiding voice behind some of the world’s leading brands including Google, Yahoo!, eBay, NetApp, Bell Sports, Intel, Playstation, Dolby and many others. Cline and his team have pioneered the integration of Web development, social media and public relations to bring powerful programs and opportunities to Voce customers and partners. Since the acquisition of Voce Communications by Porter Novelli in 2011, Cline has served as a member of Porter Novelli’s executive committee and runs the company’s global technology and digital practices.
Cline has been in the public relations and communications industry for nearly two decades, acting as speech writer for CEOs, chief message architect for dozens of emerging enterprises and investor relations liaison to some great Silicon Valley brands. Notable clients before founding Voce include The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), GTE Interactive, Logitech, Philips Semiconductors, Compaq/HP and more. He was selected one of PRWeek’s “40 Under40” list in 2008 and has also been listed as a 2008 and 2009 Who’s Who in the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Cline was an award-winning journalist before beginning his career in communications. A former board member of the Girls for a Change non-profit organization, Richard Cline has twice been the Mayor of Menlo Park, Calif.
