You know when all food trucks are waxed, the amps are all rented and the tortilla production quadruples—it’s springtime in Austin and it’s SXSW!
Porter Novelli has been proud to support the PR efforts of SXSW Interactive for the last eleven years, and now supports the Gaming Expo and SXSW Edu. This year, the Austin office welcomes colleagues from around the U.S. and Australia to participate in SXSW on a grand scale! We’ll be posting updates and insights from the conference, as well as all the shenanigans that can only happen at SXSW. PNers will be covering panel discussions and special events focusing on everything from artificial intelligence to the future of sports management. Our writers will capture some great insights about emerging technologies and trends, as well as connect with innovators from around the world.
Some experiences we are looking forward to include:
- The Dewey Winburne Community Service Awards tonight at 7 p.m. Each spring, SXSW Interactive honors his vision with the Dewey Winburne Community Service Awards. During the ceremony, 10 community do-gooders are recognized for their use of digital technology to help others.
- On Saturday, March 14 at 12:45 p.m. Phil Buehler, PN EVP and Global Director of Strategic Planning, will present his talk called “The 1st Internet-Wired Town is Still One to Watch.”
- The Southern Barbecue Agency Reception with Omnicom & Marketo on Sunday, March 15 and a CMO panel discussion from 4:00pm – 5:00pm CT with Marketo’s CMO, Sanjay Dholakia, and a panel of CMO’s from Annalect, Esurance, Philips, GM and TBWA for a discussion on the future of marketing in this rapidly changing landscape.
- The SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards on March 17 honoring the best and latest advancements in 2014 and the people who made them happen.
Follow all the action!
And we’re off!
