Porter Novelli is proud to support the ColorComm conference for the second year in a row. On July 26-28, nine colleagues from across our US offices will travel to Key Biscayne, Florida to soak up learnings at this important gathering for women of color in communications.
CEO Brad MacAfee will participate in a CEO panel discussion on Friday where the E3 Task Force will present key findings on the barriers to the C-suite for women of color. The results were collected from a major survey of agencies and various listening sessions with women of color across the U.S. Porter Novelli participated in multiple inter-agency listening sessions and hosted the Seattle listening session earlier this year.
Also at the conference, Porter Novelli along with sister agencies FleishmanHillard and Ketchum will host the Thursday general breakfast session moderated by CNN Commentator and Political Strategist Symone D. Sanders. The “Communications in the Age of Trump” panel will discuss the fact that no matter your political affiliation, there is no denying the world has changed. In our offices, communities and the markets and audiences we serve, we experience greater polarization, increasing incivility and heightened sensitivities. Even the best-intended communications and campaigns risk being branded as ignorant, tone deaf or missing the mark altogether. Porter Novelli’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Leader Soon Mee Kim will discuss the necessity for communicators of color with the other panelists.
Our team from Atlanta, DC, New York and Seattle, representing creative, digital, client service, corporate and consumer, healthcare and tech, is excited to learn and share our experiences with the greater Porter Novelli network.
