Porter Novelli recently co-hosted a bespoke event with The Guardian US titled, Navigating Social Justice Issues in Divisive Times. Although the session was completely off-the-record, the panel which featured three leading, global organizations – Ben & Jerry’s,Univision and Lyft – went deep into the challenges, risks and rewards for companies taking a stand on social issues.
It was empowering to sit back and hear from so many accomplished communications and marketing professionals across varying industries, who are dedicated to driving solutions forward and making a positive impact on society. It was equally motivating to watch our relationship with The Guardian flourish in such an intimate setting. Our two organizations share a rich heritage rooted in purpose, and are both aligned in our ambition to use our craft for good. The panelists, attendees and our two organizations spent the evening learning from and counseling one another on best practices and opportunities for advancement. Throughout the event, it became clear that we must continue to identify and partner with strategic media and communications organizations in 2019 and beyond.
As Porter Novelli drives our global Purpose communications consultancy forward, we recognize there is strength in the “power of two”. When we combine forces with organizations who share similar values, like The Guardian, we are better positioned to leverage our talents and strengths to influence change and drive growth.
