NEW YORK, February 1, 2010 – Global public relations leader Porter Novelli today announced that Israel Mirsky has joined the company as executive vice president, emerging media and technology. In his role he will be responsible for identifying, leveraging and developing new communications tools and channels in the digital space.

Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Mirsky served as director of marketing at [x+1], a leading predictive optimization firm specializing in identifying high value customers and delivering them relevant content. Before that he was chief strategy officer for NOM, managing and executing successful online marketing campaigns involving micro-sharing, social aggregation, social media and digital word-of-mouth for clients including ELF Cosmetics and Motorola. He began his career in digital commercial production at Advanced Media Ventures Group and Granada America.
