Porter Novelli won the Silver Anvil in the Community Relations/Government Category for its “The Green Build Takes Flight at San Diego International Airport” campaign on behalf of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. The Silver Anvil was awarded in a ceremony held on June 9 in New York City. Earlier this year, the campaign earned an honorable mention at the PRWeek Awards.
Presented by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Silver Anvil, symbolizing the forging of public opinion, is awarded annually to organizations that have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. The Silver Anvil Award acknowledges the very highest level of achievement and is the established icon of the “best of the best” public relations practices.
The “Quitter in You” campaign, on behalf of the American Lung Association, earned a Certificate of Excellence in the Association/Not-for-Profit category.
Porter Novelli also won two Bronze Anvil Awards of Commendation from PRSA, which recognize superior performance in the design and execution of an individual tactic within a broader public relations program. The award was given to HP in the Press Conferences category for “The New Language of Printing; Talking to the Digital Generation.” Porter Novelli worked with HP to open Internet Week New York with a dynamic press conference, collaborating on the concept, content development and full production. Omnicom partner Goodby Silverstein and Partners also provided campaign assets for the event. The agency also earned an Award of Commendation in the Web Widgets category for the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Launch, “Turning Skeptics into Believers.”
