BlackRapid, creator of The Original Camera Sling™, today announced strategic partnerships with two top Seattle creative firms; global public relations agency Porter Novelli and brand design firm Hornall Anderson. The agencies will work in tandem with BlackRapid to develop the company’s brand, create compelling and effective communications programs to inform consumers of the benefits of BlackRapid’s lifestyle products, and to generate awareness for the company both nationally and internationally.
These partnerships are part of the company’s strategy to expand the appeal of its award-winning suite of camera straps and accessories from professional photographers to enthusiasts, amateurs and general consumers.
“We’ve spent the past few years going from a start-up with a good idea to a business with strong product development and distribution,” said Kurt Peterson, President and co-owner of BlackRapid. “These strategic partnerships will boost the marketing of our products to continue our growth“.
The moves come shortly after the company hired Microsoft, AT&T, and US Bank alum K. Francesca Lukjanowicz as CMO. Lukjanowicz, who joined the company late last year, will oversee the partnerships with the two companies.
Porter Novelli will provide BlackRapid strategic PR counsel, executive communications support, product reviews management and social media capabilities. Hornall Anderson, an award-winning firm, will create top-notch brand strategy and design, culminating in a website re-launch and brand presence later in 2012.
