Porter Novelli announced that Emily Zanovich, vice president, global health, and James O’Malley, manager, digital and social analytics, have been named to PR News’ list of Rising Stars 2012. The list honors strategic communications professionals whose work has stood out in the last year and who are recognized as budding industry leaders.
“Emily began her career with Porter Novelli in 2005 as an intern, and since then has grown into a vice president who works across practices demonstrating extraordinary client service, routinely thinking beyond the limits of a specific project,” said Michael Ramah, acting CEO, Porter Novelli. “In addition to her client work, she worked to develop our ‘Room With a View’ speaker series and is a long-time member of Porter Novelli’s TORCH team, which provides underserved New York City high school youth with exposure to careers in the communications and the arts. Emily is making a significant impact on both her clients and the agency at large.”
“In five short years, James has demonstrated an incredible aptitude for using social media as a resource for developing insights and strategy,” Ramah continued. “While at Porter Novelli he has developed new capabilities for our industry-leading analytics team, created a training curriculum for the group and now leads a global team of analysts. James is well on his way to establishing himself as a leader among the next generation of strategic communications professionals.”
They will receive their awards at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. in late November.
